Winterim fair:))

Yesterday night and this morning were winterim fair yah!! Many parents and students came and we talked about our sculpture and jewelry pieces. 

We put our jewerly into a box so that people will not touch it and better to look at it. 

Also we put over sculpture piece in order  on the desk for them. 

Winterim is over:(( thank you ms posta, Jane and Hans :)))

Then, wheeling these notes I almost finished my sculpture piece:)) 

I first put my base on it 

Then, wheeling these notes on the base. 

And put the plant branch behind and twos balls on it. 

After lunch we went to the conservation in toledo museum, see some object init. 

Finished my final project

And I finished my final project today!!:))

First I shiny it again and I cut my finger while doing it. 

And then Jane show me how to put the stone in to the hole and using the tools to push it in and down. 

And I put the chain on, I finished my final. Necklace. 

Then, I use the ring I made last time to put a base on it.

Just need the stone one it:))

Sculpture

I made another music note today, the more complex one. 

The first I made the steel is not long enough so hans suggest me to cut another one and wheel them together. Hans help me a lot to make this one.

Then I made the plant aroung the notes. 

I also cut the base as a circle and sand it. There will be a circle under the base and make it higher. 

Shiny:))))

And Today I make my final project more shiny!! And I made another ring. First I put the ring I made last week in to the machine to make it smooth and shiny 

I put it here for one hour and there are iron stone and some liquid inside.

After that I put a small circle ring on my sun to holdit on my necklac.

I use this tools to put it on and hit it up. 

Although it almost done but it's not shiny. And I use the tools like dentist use to shiny it. 

After that it's become shiny:))

Start working on my final project in sculpture

I start on my final project today! And I finished my letters bookend.

I put put color on my bookend, it is black. I was using the chemical color with glove on. 

Half of it. 

Finally I finished my sample project. 

And I mansure my final project steel. The small one is 28cm and the long one is 42cm

And then I twist it with the tools to make a bass clef F. And Hans suggest me to use the balls wheeling on it. 

And I finished half of my treble clef G. 

Jewelry

We had jewelry today:)) and I worked on my final project that I made the sun connected to the wire "S" and I decorate some twist on it.

 I drew the S first based on the size of the sun and moon. And I m trying to change the shape of the wire.

Then i made a little twist on it .

I put the sun and the moon into the circle. 

And I fired the sun on it twice. 

Also after that I made two rings, I plan to put a green blue stone on the first thick ring, the second one I put some decoration on the out and I put my name inside the the ring:)))

Special day!!!

Today is a really special for all the students in the jewelry and sculpture winterim because we went to the museum cafe for lunch:)))) 

Also I finished my sample project in sculpture 

This morning I finished the twist and crul for the letter" W" by using the hammer and the power machine. 

After lunch I using the whiling gun whiling them together and I used the machine shows in this picture to make the whiling point smoother and looks better. 

Finally I finished it roughly. 

And then I using he machine that Devin used in this picture to remove the different colors in the sculpture and they turn in to grey. Actually it takes a long time and it's also hard to see what happened inside. After doing this I hurt my neck and back, my face are getting black lol. I just need to put black color on it next time!!:))

Final project!!!

Today we worked in jewelry and still working on our finall project. I cut my moon and I didn't break my saw. 

Then I find out the wires around my stone are too small, so I made another one and using a tool to correct the circle. 

After that I use the sand paper to make my silver sun and brozen moon more shiny and remove the unperfect part. And then I put the stone base and the sun and moon together by firing them.

Finally I got the shape of my jewelry final project.

It's seems to be like a real first day of my sculpture, I used the steel bars that I cutted last week and hit them up. 

After that I based on the sketch I drew started to beat and twist them.

My letters are "Y" and "W" I made two twist on each side of the Y and two curls. 

Finally it's look like this. I also beated some protection on the base.  

Work on final project

Today we work on the final project for jewelry. Jane teach us how to use a little equipment to cut stuff in to the shape we want. And then we showed her our sketches for jewelry and decide what to make. After a serval modification, I started working on it. 

First I need to cut a sun shape by using the tools. I drew a shape on silver first and start to cut it. 

After two hours hard work, I finished. :))))

Also I fired the wire into shape.  Today was fun!!:))
